Hi Bob , Thanks for your reply . The models range in scale with the large hospital ship at 1:96 , the beached complete wreck is at 1:128 and the 2 wreck site models are at 1 : 144 . I also have a 1:48 scale cross section of the Maheno , but it is currently on exhibit and i have been unable to get over and photograph it . The wreck models actually take the most research , but the Maheno is one of the most photographed wrecks in the world so its deterioration is well documented .The models are made from card and split bamboo skewers , with the deck lay out and shape drawn from G.A plans , then the deterioration for a particular period studied from photo's . I actually assisted the Queensland Government in an interpretation of the wreck site last year , as my old photo's and general knowledge of the vessel helped to document sections no longer recognizable .
As to the best place to post my pictures , I was unsure as to weather to post in the forum as i didn't want to annoy anyone if that's not the typical practice . Any tips on such things are always gratefully received
Thanks again.
P'S your model of the Great Eastern is one of my absolute favorites from the readers models featured in the magazine .I am always in awe of robust working models , I always start with the best intentions , but most of my models become "static "at some stage of construction….usually due to my model engineering shortcomings.
