I have been playing around with this myself and have started to put some ideas together…

made a diagram of the three switches I will use until it gets near completion… but I did see a great article in the Winter Model Boats mag, by that Electricery Wizard.. Mr Dave Milburn. He was looking at some switch sets we could use to activate the lights from the radio set.

looks great have yet to get to set mine up as I have to fit the deck then the bulkhead supports then the gunnwhale, then all I have to do is connect the lights up its all wired in just to connect wey hey said barnacle bill its down to the water no matter what

Hi….. I think the saying is " been in the doldrums"….lol

Once I cleared every thing away, I was given other jobs to look at by her in doors…..lol

A big picture frame for all the ten grand kids needed assembly, what a job getting all the pics that Pauline thought made the grade…

So no work on the dining table other than photo framing…

All parts and part assembled work on the Wattle, has gone back to the planning stage.

Had a few thoughts on working with the deck area and cabin, managed to get hold of a small camera that will fit, in cabin behind captain birds eye to see what he see's.

Got an upright drill to build and assemble in the small shed, also want to sort out the garage to turn over the hull while fitting the plates.

Then the matter of fitting all the batteries and wires…..oh the dread….lol

As you say… no rush its a hobby and I am in the first year of retirement…66, so have time to work on the Wattle as and when.

The plan is once re organised in work area, I will spend time on the hull plates and upper deck in separate area's.

As you say better weather will help.

Hi Randyde..

The Wattle build article is in the Winter 2013 edition..

It is a very detailed article by John Parker, I have just about worn out the print on re reads…lol

It also gives detail on the three plan distribution.

John has also been a great help in detailing the electronics and has sent further plans for plating the hull to represent the rivet built hull plating.

I will upload a pic so you can see how the papering of the hull is coming along… very slow and taking its time to complete, as I have been on a break. But always lurking as Bob would say…lol

Hope this is of some help to you and you find the magazine, it is a great build venture…
