          hi pete

I am pretty sure there is a proper rod you can buy. I just use the straight bit of a wire coat hanger. we have had some that were quite thin and they fitted through the servo bolt ok.

          regards Andy

            Pete,

You need clevis rods etc. see here; **LINK**

Of course you can just use bent wire combined with the inserts from chocolate block wire connectors as a cheaper alternative! Using two lengths of wire in thre connector neans that you can adjust the connector lengths as required.

                Hello Pete.

This is the method my friend Lynn uses on her planes. 1.6mm s/s tig welders filler rod. Handy stuff!

Garden wire, noit the plastic coverwed stuff..2mm or so.As per Amy`s post, easy, cheap..just put a very small dogleg either end.. servo arm may need enlarging a tiny bit with a needle file. Ashley nb Electrical connectors also a good idea for adjustment, take the plastic outer off for a more compact size.
