RN Western Approaches Colours

Where can I obtain Aerosol cans of paint that will simulate 1942 Western Approaches Colours, I do not have any spraying equipment.

Roy. Just as a suggestion…as i know there will be a few purists disagreeing with my post !! Depends how accurate youi want to be. it may be that you could buy (for instance) Halfords car spray paint in the approximate colours, and finish off with a matt laquer to give you a, er, matt finish. Halford do a very nice light grey plastic primer can for the purpose as an undercoat. Some larger or specialist automotive paint suppliers will mix paint into spray cans,  this will be more expensive although you will have a vast range of colours to choose from. I have seen proper model spray paint here and there but cant see any after a quick surf on the `net . It may pay you in the long run to buy a cheap spray brush and use that (you can buy tins of propellant sufficient to spray boats or whatever without buying a compressor – although the Fat Controller has found a very cheap small jobbie at B&Q I think it was….see post,,,whats this from Bob Abell)  and so use Humbrol or whatever correct colours .
