Hi I have a radiolink R7EH receiver but have no information can anyone please tell me which channel I should fit the speed controller to so it supplies the power for the receiver I am going to use it on a model boat the speed controller is a viper15 this is my first time with RC equipment thank you

As well as the receiver, you probably have a transmitter. Does this have sticks on it, or a wheel?

Either way, the transmitter will have several controls that you operate, to make the boat turn and start/stop. Each one of these controls has an associated 'channel' on the receiver. You should decide what control you want to use for the throttle (for a stick controller, usually channel 2 or channel 3) and then plug the speed controller into the corresponding number slot in the receiver.

The R7EH has numbered channels and a sticker on the top – the plugs from each servo/controller go in vertically, with the black wire at the bottom.

Here is a manual for a typical Radiolink – the T4EU **LINK**

and this page shows you where to put the plugs… **LINK**

If you need any more help, a photo of what you are trying to do is always useful…

Just to add to Dodgy Geezers answer
All the positive pins are connected together
All the negative pins are connected together

So you can plug the esc into any channel to supply power.

Thanks, fred – I hadn't read it that way, but that's really what he was asking….

                Hi

                A word of warning

With this receiver on loss of radio signal this receiver issues a full reverse signal on output 3 . ,( For a plane this ensures motor stopped,) for a boat with forward and reverse ESC this is a disaster waiting to happen. ONLY EVER use outlet 2. If you want throttle on left stick you can open the radio on a 4 channel system and select the mode switch to mode 1, right stick forward / aft a ill then go to outlet 3.

If you have a 6 channel system there is no mode switch and you have to open the radio and use ,6 small lengths of wire. Unsoldered the 3 tags On each of the potentiometers operated by the 2 sticks then using the 6 wires as jumpers solder them to the opposite side.

The R7EH receivers are a bit harder to get hold of now – the most recent is the R7EH-S, which incorporates an S-BUS and a PPM output as well as the usual PWM output.

I noticed this statement about the R7EH on the Chinese web site, but had never found this happening to me before when using R7EH receivers. So I've just picked up an R7EH-S and tried it out, and can state that when I turn off the transmitter the servo I connected stays in the position it was last at. I waited for 10 secs, but nothing moved. No drop to zero on channel 3, or on any other…

So I suspect that either the web site is wrong, or that some versions do failsafe in this way and some don't. It's worth checking with the system you have to see what it does…
