      Hi everyone

      I am new to building rc boats.my choice is 1/24SCALE PERKASA PATROL BOAT.I would like to install three propshafts but my drawings only show one. Has anyone got any dimensions for the three propshafts and two rudders.

              Paul's photos should give you a very good idea of the locations of the three shafts and where they emerge from the hull. After that the angle of the shaft will depend on givong the prop adequate clearance and where you intend to mount the motors.

                Hi Stephen , I am coming to the end of my 1:24 Perkasa and have fitted 3 props the props are at 56mm centers and are at a 10 degree angle and i cut the slots in the hull 230mm from the transom i used CAD to make sure the P frames would fit ect it turned out spot on i also has help off the lads on this forum on the correct angle for the Perkasa , please have a look at my gallery there are plenty of pics of the props

                  Thanks Dave for the information. I have purchased P frames from battlecrafts because they are correct scale are these ok

                    I dont know what the battle crafts ones are like E.G the angle , I made mine from billet aluminium as i work in Engineering. As Paul T said to me it,s best to get the shallowest angle to increase performance.

                    PS . I forgot to say in the earlier post that once your cutouts are done if you make 2 jigs with 3 holes in the same diameter as your shafts and at 56mm ctrs these will hold your shafts in the perfect position while your epoxy sets
