There are several different Speed 700 BB Turbo motors. They are identified by their different nominal operating voltages, which are shiown on the label. What voltage is given on the label of your motor?

Curly. My comiserations to your brother in law.

Nims…I would say…as large as you can get. 5000 mAhr I think may be largest: for MAX running time.

BUT depends on your pocket…two smaller capacity batteries may add up to less money for your mA than one large capacity. BUT 12V nims are not common..unlike 7.2v ones which come fairly cheap.Or split the difference and go for slightly less capacity but two packs for a slightly larger spend. Nothing like having just one run and having to pack up.

I'm pretty sure that Bob Abell has some 12v 5000mAH NiMH packs which he no longer needs. Might be worth a PM to him. Otherwise check out Component Shop's website. Oh – and start with a 40mm 3-blade prop.

I have decided not to sell the batteries and charger for the time being…….Very sorry

They are over three years old now and may not be reliable
