          Hello Wayne

Did you build the railway buildings yourself?

My 6 year old grandson likes the rampant dinosaur and has just added one to his Tomica railway set.

            yes Paul

all my own work ,with a bit of help from my boy. it has 3 loops with separate controls electric point and lighting. and even the stations have controllable red/green signal lights. it was had a few changes over it life when the first loop was laid, we laid on black building sand as ballast which although looks just right for the scale it was found the be very noisy. the following 2 loops were them laid on foam ballast which kept noise down a treat. the set-up is regularly cleaned so runs well (but funnily enough I end up doing the clear!!!)

shepway-20130220-00175.jpgshepway-20130220-00174.jpgwell the weather was fine today but windy,so myself and the son took the boat to a local duck pool.fill 12V battery lasted about 1Hr.she performed well with water swept away nicely.the only worrying thing was the wind catching on the high sided superstructor and listing well over.turning radius of about 3M at full speed.

motor temperatur was checked after the run and was just warm to the touch.

all in all a good run but it has shown the need for a buffer at the frontshepway-20130220-00173.jpg
