Hi.

I've epoxy resined my ship, painted it using international red paint, I had to take it off because it would not dry!!! does Anyone know what that problem is?

is your red paint a water based variety, if so try an oil based enamel

It is unusual but not unheard of for a reaction between epoxy and a modern paint. To help us understand the problem can you tell us.

:The brand of epoxy and if it was fully set before you applied the paint.

:Is the paint water or oil based. (as Eric says this will make a difference)

:Did you brush or spray the paint (if sprayed what was the percentage of thinners to paint)

With the answers to these questions we will be able to assess the problem and hopefully give you a solution.

Was the paint new or old?? old stuff takes ages to dry (just a thought)
