Hello,
I was pleased to see that the October issue of the magazine will feature a Glynn Guest designed LCS. The rugged, utilitarian LCS class of vessels has some fascinating designs associated with it – Glynn seems to have been inspired by the US LCS(L) "Mighty Midget" vessels.
I thought there might be some interest in a model I'm currently building – it too is inspired by the US LCS(L) , but also the British LCS(L) and I've based my hull on the Fairmile H design.

I designed it myself using PowerPoint(!) I wanted to build something fairly large, so the scale is approx. 1:20, giving an LOA of about 1.5m. I'm trying out a few new ideas on this model; the gun-tubs are 3D printed and I've sealed the prop-shafts where they pass through the hull with hot glue – I'm also using brushless out-runners cooled by inline PC fans – who knows how well it'll all work
All the best,
Paul
