Am back home for a week and so it was time to pull out a boat and crack on.
The second boat I inherited from my Grandad was this beautiful model Schooner ‘Kate’, she was in a bit of a sorry state and in need of some TLC.
I have decided to keep the deck simple as I want to make it remote control. I have simply added a plane deck, filled in any major gaps, and now have sealed it and given it a lick of paint.
My previous consultant was a woodworker in his spare time and I got talking about masts (anything not to talk about patients/ avoid my medical knowledge being tested!), and he suggested biliard cue ends, the screw also means it can be mounted easily.
See what you think: I am going for a carribean style colour as I fell in love with a Schooner that I saw on my elective!

I hope you are all well
Dave
