johnson 600 motor

WELL I DIDN’T KNOW

Bought a couple of johnson 600s on the internet for a scratch build well I was green no idea what they would do so.

A basic test 35mm 2 blade plastic prop 6v lead acid battery prop immersed in water static test and the ammeter reads 10 .2A a little more than I expected

looks like the 15a controller could struggle with this pair.

Now you know what the score is maybe it’s for you or not that is the question?.

Scroll down to the paragraph “Bad 540 motors”. Best to avoid unless you like very fast but very short runs! Good for ballast, though………………
