Had a great day at the club waters after our yearly trip to Lyme Park was cancelled due to mix up with booking staff at the park, but a few of us got together on the Saturday and had a good days sailing our boats and as you can see the weather was very kind to us and who could ask for more than this venue,I had a sail of Bob’s Jeanie Deans and what a pleasure that was to be trusted with it after all the work that’s gone into it,a beautiful model as you can see!.

        Wow Ducky

The great man trusted someone else with one of his creations….You must feel like Churchill’s best mate…. But why not sail one of your own lovely models?

The lake looks great in the nice weather, is there a better way to spend a sunny Saturday.

        Cheers

        Paul

          Hi Paul

Yes Bobunel does let me sail his boats so that he can click away with his camera, the picture is of our landing stage after seats, benches, garden and boathouse have had a spruce up for the summer.as you say what more could a club want for a good sail and the cafe and wardens are very friendly people who do their best to help out, which is rare these days is’nt it!.

You will have to try and get up to us for a day and Bob and I and the wives would be only too glad to make you welcome, we are all off to the Colwyn Bay regatta (27thJuly) as our club has been invited to that.

Once again thank you for you kind words and encouragement on my models

            Hi Ducky

It looks like a really nice setup especially with the purpose built tables I imagine that you all must spend many happy hours sailing and chatting away.

I’ve just had a peek at your clubs web site and it is very entertaining (Bobunel appears in it quite a lot)

I will have to come down one day and have a play.

              Hi Paul

Just let us know when you are coming and we will be there! there are a couple of nice pubs in the immediate area where the beer and the food is to be recommended.

Picture is one of the entrants for this years commadore’s challenge ,”A boat made of cardboard boxes No wood at all” and as you can see its got a good turn of speed in its trials,” who needs to buy an expensive kit to get you on the water”
