Larry, sorry no plan, or at least, I drew up some large sheets of paper to get the general shape.
As stated, this was made to fit the aircraft, and to fit in the boot of the car. The aircraft are die cast Harriers bought from the air force museum at hendon (where they had loads of them) originally to put on an aircraft carrier deck i made for the lad to play with.. this oddly enough was 4 feet long and about 9 inches wide. It looked so good on the carpet with the planes idecided to make an r/c one.
It could do with being at least 8 inches longer at either end for the correct dimensions, but ..
I have dickered with the proportions so that the `planes dont look tooo big, and have since chopped 1 1/4 inches off the back of the island and 3/4" off the front to enhance the apparent deck length.
if you want I can draw up a rough plan with dimensions etc.. you will need to get some planes before starting, though!! My only regret is not making the lines slightly finer at either end but there again once in the water it is not noticeable.
One hot week-end`s work to make the hull, easy. Thin ply sides needed almost no work to get smooth and the boat was sprayed with Halfords car undercoat and topcoat. The front beak was a bit fiddly. being built up with balsa strips and filled/sanded, Whole lot then covered in ezicote water based resin and glass cloth.
