help needed

hi ive put a 2 speed hpi nitro car .in a old wood speed boat .got running with lots of cutting drive shafts and bits. now spins like a demon when i second gear .will it be ok in the water tho. any coments for me water test weekend. cheers darren

Darren…picture?? I think it should go ok, how about cooling ? is there a good airflow around the engine?   what size boat is it and how big is the prop…. powerful revvy engines and large props can twist a boat something chronic setting off and affect the turning performance as well. Ashley

boat 34 inches. made of wood. x55 twin propelleron m4 shaft via drive shaft inserted in nuckle joint water cooled not piped yet tho.

Woah! busy boy !     The x55 prop on that motor may be much too much…especially on an M4 shaft. I would be playing safe with something a bit smaller for a first run….really need the input of an offshore i/c boat person now….Ashley

disabeled after rta got hours to do what ive allways wanted  did 5th scale truck racing before but i love boats  i got 8 rc boats  52 foot navy pinnace 2 hellis 2 offroad trucks and looking a a plane now to build. got a old electric wheelchair wich im gonna fit to a pedlo boat that  2 people pedaled at sea side.
