help getting started

hi all, hoping you can help

after giving up on rc planes a few years ago because I couldn't see myself ever being able to fly one, I have decided to try boats

altho I built a few electric artf planes and know the basics about motors , servos, esc s etc etc I must confess I know little about the world of rc boating therefore I was hoping for some help in getting started as I don't really know what to buy.as I assume all the gear needed for marine is different to planes.

I don't want to spend a mint but don't want a plastic toy either, im reasonably able with building etc but realise I should maybe keep it simple to start with.

I would like something quick and powerboat ish and of a reasonable size as my eyes aren't what they were to see what a small one is up to

best place to but , what to put with what etc etc and I would be very grateful for any help you could give.
