      took me while to work out how it works

        Hi Jake,

        If you have a look on my Gallery you will see what I believe to be the real fishtail rudder as drawn for me by Ron Birchett a Canadian who sail both full size and model Tugs,this is both simple to make and will spin a tug that has only one prop and one rudder in its own length.

          You’re right Len,   the rudder shown above is a Becker rudder a fishtail rudder is also known as Schilling rudder
