Electric motor size required

I am considering building a blue streak enlarged to 24 inches. What size brushless motor, speed controller and prop would be a good starting point. I built one of these in 1975 with a 30 glow motor but now would prefer electric. Was thinking of building a 30 inch astra but will do it later. Thankyou wayne in australia

Dont like to see a post unanswered, but I dont think many posting MB forum personell have much fast electric know-how.

I would actually suggest a call to Prestwitch Models or someone who deals mostly with this sort of thing to sort you out.

Hi Wayne

Hobbyking have a number of motors e.g.2858-2650kv,2836-3700kv and XK2845-3600kv.

Esc the car ones a small and light(I use these in all my boats).

Lipo batteries are required one 2650mah or two 1500-1800mah(this is the biggest item in the boat and weight and placement is very important.

Prop about a 30-35mm x 1.4 pitch 2-3 3 blade.

What's the plan for the drive line solid or flex drive???
