Hi Ed. What a fantastic hull and superstructure. You dont need plans for this! Use your imagination !!! Look at loads of pictures, see what grabs your fancy and build it. PS. Stick a massive motor in it and have some fun     Ashley

or is this too non-pc for model boats ??

Ashley . Thanks this was what I have been doing. I estimate that the scale is 1:20 / 1:25 do you know?

I will post some pics who ever had the model before me did not have much of a clue I have had to strip of layers of paint and varnish taking hours.

This is my first boat model,  was a aeromodeller a long time ago, now I am near retiring I took this on as a first attempt, I have brought a big motor as advised by a fellow enthusiast .

Thanks for you reply hope to here form anyone who can varify the boat type and scale.

          ED

Ed, how about, as one method, cutting out some cardboard persons at known scales and blu-tacking them on the boat at different places and seeing what looks about right ???  1:32=54mm  etc etc . Ashley

                HI Ed,

Model looks great, with regards to the engine, what you need to ask yourself is where are you going to sail her ?.  If you are intending to sail on model boating / park lakes, be aware that almost all councils and quite a few clubs have banned the use of I.C. engines because of noise and pollution.  You may be lucky and find a club near to you that has IC days, failing that your only other option is offshore or the use of a private lake.  Except for the racing guys most modellers have moved over to electric.

                Cheers – Ken

                        Hi

This model  was called a “Hanson” I think, and I believe it was sold by Ripmax, my father purchased one for me about 23 Years ago, I don’t think anyone will still be selling the kit now! shame if it was still for sale I would buy one as I remember it was a great kit.
