Brandon. I think that 5 minutes surfing would provide any answer you want! Ashley.

ps   I see that Paul has done SIX minutes surfing already, however, he is completely wrong as its just a charred lump now.

pps    doesnt the mizzen course fit in just after soup and before the fish course????

               Morning Ashley

2 minutes surfing and 5 minutes editing out the links.

How is the SRN coming on?

              Paul

Paul. Only 2 minutes!   SRN4 coming on, cant remember what i said abouit it in last post.. the new 60mm skirt works ok and is very floaty but the nose dips still, sometimes. The answer may be to shave the skirt to give a slight nose up attitude. ALL the big hovercraft have an upturned front, something i cant do with a solid skirt very easily. I have found some adaptors to mount two 2x blade 5 inch props on a 400 motor to give a 4X blade props for looks and  some more shove. waiting for the other 3 to come along before i can put them on the prototype to resume trials, remebering the protoype has to work as well as possible befor commencing the real thing .                    thanks for the help. i made the sails and they had to be remade twice last night, because of their weight. but the sails where still too heavy, or the keel wasnt large enough…and it flipt over and sank…but anyway, thanks…

                        Hi Brandon

When it comes to building your own model boat there is no such thing as "not a good boat" every model that you build gives you valuable experience that you can take forward to the next model. I think that you have done a great job as the hull of the Cutty Sark has a complex shape that even an experienced modeller would find difficult to replicate.

Yours must be a very forward thinking school to employ the Cutty Sark as a subject for a project.

I look forward to seeing a photo of the completed model and to hearing how you got on with your project.

                        Paul

Paul. Quite right. I build boats for my own personal amusement and not for anyone elses, and, unless you are building for competition, thats the way it should be.

Brandon. If you are happy with the finished product, then its not up to anyone else to judge. Ashley

P S not too keen on the red paint
