      Having sorted out how to control the main sheet, I want to look at how to control the foresail.

      The Jolie Brise has an overlapping foresail with two sheets leading aft either side of the mast.

      Has anybody seen this done on a scale boat?

            Could not get rid of the MS rubbish in the above post. I copied and pasted in the first two lines.

             Found a good solution on R/C Group forum

            Teaching Resistant Materials in secondary schools always involved making moving models using levers, cams, rods, springs and cord.

            Levers are not as controlable as cams so I will try to use cams to produce the same method shown in the R/C post above.

            It will need two spiral cams fixed together but opposite hand. When one sheet is in, the other is out. Differential sheet movement can be made by shaping the cams, this is not possible with levers.
