I do my rivets the hard way……………..one at a time!……………..But it doesn`t take too long to do really…….You`ve just got to get in the swing of it……………and the final effect is really worthwhile

There are little gadgets on the market that simulate rivetting, but are rather small and used on OO gauge locos

If you are doing straight lines of rivets, the tool to use is a "pounce wheel", which is like a gear wheel on a stick.

It is available from dress-makers suppliers, or you can make your own with old clock gears of the appropriate pitch. You run it along the rivet line from the back of the card and with a bit of practice can produce quite convincing rivets.

If you are using Styrene, I use a sprung loaded centre punch,you can adjust the strength of strike and just push it against the rear of the styrene.
