Hi Simon, My pride and joy is my Brede Class Lifeboat which took 5 weeks to build . It is a simple construction which if you employ your diligenc when you build steam engines.
5 Weeks but then months to finish . Months later and still working My satisfaction came when building the interior,1/12 .My past 50 years was building scale furniture.Difficulty came rescearcing interiors. I fitted and lit tthe, compass radio, scanner computer . Fitted the working Radar
Navigation lights and riding lights .forgot the radio aerial .You can take the build as far as your finances will allow adding Crew Sound system now fitted .Recentl saw a simple way to fit the grab lines so more work, find the fittings system. Rails were a problem as the soldering o rail is a problem for me ,however I have a passiable system currently fitted but would change it if I can learn a better way. Hope this will encourage you to start the build. If you can find a recording of any lifeboat crew useing the radio be appreciated
Michael
