      Hello everyone!

      First time posting here –

So what brings me? Well besides having RC Boats as a hobby since I was a kid thanks to Dad. We need some help… we had a long break from boating and having recently got back into it, Dad has been working on a boat I bought in an auction at a race in Eastborne some 15 years ago. It's close to being finished and took it for a go today and despite going well it's got teething problems as always.

But that aside, we're trying to identify what exactly this boat is. The only information I know is…

      – There used to be a purple one of these called "Sunday Girl" which attended a lot of the races. In fact actually, I believe there were 2 of them owned by the same person/team, one was definitely called Sunday Girl, I specifically remember this.

      – The design of the boat is old, like I said I picked this up in an auction some 15 years ago.

Here are some photos, anyone have any ideas? I can take more photos if needed. Please excuse the condition of the boat, its in the stages of being finished off and then painted in the next couple of weeks.

      Thanks in advance everyone

Would love to know the make and model of the boat if anyone can help.

Here it is in the water on a test run today – https://i.imgur.com/4YGwliG.jpg

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer. I appreciate it isn't much to go by!

      Kind regards,
      Jake

          Hello Jake

Welcome to the forum. I've scratched my head on this one. It has some Donzi like features of boats of the 70s and 80s.

However the chine runs fairly flat until it gets close to the bow and the transom suggests that it was designed for shafts. By this time most boats were running on outdrives as shafts have a limiting speed of around 45kts.

Someone may turn up with the name of the model but in the meantime, it looked good on the water.

            Hello Tim!

Appreciate your efforts here. Well what sparked us trying to track down which model it is was that on the water when it was up on the plain it ran fantastically well, but if it became off balance due to wind or similar like a typical Deep V it would stick to one side. Obviously the model isn't finished and we were thinking its going to need trim tabs to help stabilise it, but between us we couldn't decide the best location and my Dad made a comment of "its a shame we don't have any build instructions or know what it is to look it up"

Going to have some fun on google later, see if I can find "Sunday girl" and see what I come up with. If I find anything I will let you know

            Best,

            Jake
