Hi

 

After some advice…whats the best glue to use for sticking the timber deck strips to the plastic hull on the billings kit

my daughter is building tat little boat……we used 2 part epoxy, but scuffed up the plastic sub deck with rough sand paper before gluing.

I think Neil has the “key” to the situation (pun intended). I find it necessary to always roughen the plastic or styrene to give the glue something to hang on to. Plastic is usually very smooth and, without a key the glue can lose adhesion, and lift.
