AQ nice view of a modeller’s workbench, and if that really is a crack my view is that is really a shame and most unfortunate, all I would do would be to stick some plastic insulating tape over the crack and pour some epoxy resin into the crack from inside, which would seal the crack and well and truely join the two halves together. That is unless you had a rudder post or propshaft to go through anywhere in the vicinitywhich I would do first, but that is only because I want to wrest the title Artful Bodger from Ashley. But all in all, I think I was looking at a good job well done from the photo.

Great sanding. very difficult to get compound curves like that all even. Shame about that crack, I am sure it wont show once you have splashed some Dulux on it….Ashley

Bob yes yes we can see it a pencil line. (or a very straight crack)

Mike. I use anything that comes to hand that is the right colour to paint my vessels. I findpolyurethane paint of the "dulux" variety is very tough and glossy. Humbrol is also good, and if left to harden properly can be wet`n`dry sanded and T-cut fot a fantastic finish. I dont take much notice as regards paint specified to be interior or exterior, after all, how long are these boats in the water for??  Ashley
