Back copies of Model Boats magazine

I have recently bought the plans and wood pack for HMS Crane from Traplets. The vessel is apparently based on HMS Kite and similar flat-iron gunboats and I believe HMS Kite was the subject of several articles in MB in 2001(?)

My question is – can I still obtain copies of the build articles or indeed the four magazines, because the MB back-issue link through myhobbystore only seems to go back to 2007.

Any assistance appreciated.

I'm afraid you will not be able to obtain the back issues from MyHobbyStore but you might find them on one of the magazine exchange websites or maybe somebody will have spare issues they are able to let you have.

Gary,looking at the Magazine exchange website, you are quite right in that HMS Kite was featured over a four month period, these are May, June, July & August 2001.

Looking on ebay, the May & July issues are available from a uk seller (marcs-magazines) and the May, June & July issues from an international (Australian) seller.

It was in fact April, May, June , July and August 2001 a 5 part Feature.
