I have inherited this antique. It’s a 24″ model of the ‘William Beckett of Leeds’ which I think is from about 1860. Based at Youghal RNLI lifeboat station in Leeds. In case anyone is interested I don’t have anywhere to keep it so will probably putting in to auction soon.

With Leeds being slap bang in the middle of the country I would be surprised to find a lifeboat station there!

From what I can see Youghal RNLI lifeboat station is in Co. Cork.

Good luck with the sale.

Yes, I should research the ties between William Beckett of Leeds and Co Cork. On the face of it quite strange.
