Wayne. No idea. BUT assuming you followed the plan, and used materials of the type and size given, then the boat weighs what it should do. Obviously the equipment fit will make some difference between such similar boats, If you are happy with it, and are not doing competitive racing, it weighs what it weighs!
Just out of interest I have dashed down to the shed, kitchen scales in hand and weighed my MFA Seahawk (38 inches long), which has a fibreglass hull/top, an MFA 850 engine, Graupner out-drive and 5000mAhr Nimh battery and this weighs a touch over 5 lb.
