      Hello Model Boat Enthusiasts,

I need advice. My wife has asked me to oversee the disposal of her late father's hand built model boat collection. Brian Shore, my late father-in-law, died recently aged 75 following 10 years of retirement. Much of his time was spent in his craft shed in the garden, building model boats which he loved to sail and display as a member of Droitwich Boat Club.

We don't know much about this hobby, other than there are a large number of enthusiasts who share his passion. Many of his boats were purchased as kits and we know some were expensive to buy and timeconsuming to build.

We've created a profile on this site 'ShoreShips' and have uploaded albums to showcase the full collection.

We need to find these boats a new home (or homes) as whilst they are a pleasure to admire, they are wasted in storage and will not be fully enjoyed now Brian has passed away.

If any members reading this have any interest in, or advice about disposal of, these boats, please get in touch via this thread.

Many thanks for your time in reading this.

      Alan.

They are all excellent builds and show his skills as a modeller off very well. Blue Rover is particularly nice and very appealing to me, as is HMS Bulldog. Personally I would be proud to have a model of Blue Rover as classy as your late relatives build but I am sure that there would be members of Droitwich club who would help you find new homes and to receive the true value of what these boats are worth. Some are Kits such as the Deans Tanker, others are scratch built on commercial hulls and one is a Ready to Run Carlson Tug, but much modified it would appear
