        hi,
does any one know where i could get hold of a set of plans to build this class of boat…slightly shorter than the one featured in model boats mag some time ago.

        “200 Class RAF Flying Boat Tender”, 37’ 6” length, 9’ beam, 3’ 9” draft.

unluckily it has slightly different lines to the plans featured.

cheers for any help…….i have been asked to build Flying Christine 1 of which this was one.

you know me and computers, bob…..they don’t mix.
i cut andpasted  from a friend’s email from Guernsey…and what you see are an interpretation of  speach marks…gawd knows how it happened though.
twisted in the eather of space, lol.

              Hi There
I`ve just built the st 206 seaplane tender that was in the special edition of model boats. I have done a lot of research on seaplane tender`s and a havent come across any other types. the rest that i have seen are mainly air sea rescue.
The st 206 is a beautiful little ship.

By the way….i have notice the weird symbols in quite a lot of  letters

                1952

22nd July ‘Flying Christine’, ex Seaplane Tender and Herm speedboat
launched, as the very first St. Johns Ambulance Launch. This useful
Search and Rescue asset is now recognized as both inspirational and
                pioneering.

It was on the RNLI st Peter Port site, but could not find a pic

                          Hi Neil

She is definitely  an ex 200 series but I think you might have a job creating her as Christine. As the pics are  B/w and below deck level. I have seen a picture of Christine 111 in colour which might give you a clue to her livery, which will try to put on site if you need it

thanks tony……no need for the christine 3……i built a model of her for the ambulance service…..and went aboard her tor a two hour sail when i was over there delivering the model…[see my gallery for pics of the model page 13].
.so long as there are plans to build her, i can gain info on the well deck at a later date.

just noticed it, and have looked at the photo a few times now, of the Flying Christine moored ahead of the lifeboat…..only just realised it isn’t the current Severn class lifeboat that Guernsey have, but their earlier Arun class lifeboat 52 – 02 Sir Wlliam Arnold which was the second prototype Arun with the one off superstructure…i built a model of her also…..pics in my gallery of her.

she’s an example of the 42′  6″ mk 2 “260” version, pete, which gave extra space inside for passengers.
