I scratch built a 1:48 model of the Clyde paddler, “Duchess of Fife”, some years ago. Recently it suffered some damage to the rails and bits need to be replaced.
The stanchions are the half round brass split pin pattern with 3 crimps on each leg so that, when closed, the crimps form holes for the rails. The stanchion is 32mm long with one leg slightly longer than the other. The crimps are 5mm from the top and from each other. I have no idea where I got the originals. Can anyone help with a possible source for these or suggest a possible alternative?
