        Bob – the ship as a whole is about 90% completed.  The engines, together with teir regulator and control valve have been tested on air and the boiler has been hydraulically tested and steamed (with another engine) but he completed machinery installation has yet to be tested as a whole – that is usually when it all goes pear-shaped!

        The ship has been tested for waterline position and stability in the ‘domestic test tank’ (at 48" LOA it will go in!) and sits a little low in the water, but seems to be stable.  After trials on the bench the next big test will be on the water – as usual, I expect the ship to have ‘problems’ directly proportional to the size of the audience!

          If she is too low in the water and it`s a problem…..try a float box underneath the hull …..out of sight?
