        oh dear went zoom the speedboat around the pond a twin electric century double horse speed boat and put the battery in and the motors start and won,t shut down the switch has no effect. It has a safety feature whereby the motors won,t run unless the boat is in water creating a circuit. no meter so not sure where to start.

        any thoughts or ideas.

        The boat was fine last time I used it less than a week ago..

          Alan. This is a RTR type? Is the receiver and speed controller all one box or are the bits seperate? Ultimately, unless there is something obviously wrong, you will need to substitute parts to see what is the offending item..however my money would be on the speeed controller…

            Sounds like a damp induced short circuit.

            I would try removing the top and leaving the open hull out in the sun for a couple of hours to let any water evaporate and then delicately check the electronics and propshafts with tissue paper for any residual moisture.
