Occre Ulises ………. A big bite to chew ????

Hi All,

I just signed up to the forum. I've been building scale model (plastic) kits for years and have constructed a few balsa kits purely as a build exercise. I've decided to build a wooden kit and have been locking around for a while.and over Christmas I ordered up the Occre Ulises …….. It looked pretty good value and, I reckon it'll keep me occupied for a while. I've tried researching the build but there doesn't seem to be much on the net about it. So, I reckon I might need some help and pointers along the way ……… Just maybe it's a big bite for a first go ??? but we'll see. It should turn up sometime at the beginning of Jan 14 so I'm looking at putting together what I need to make up a jig out of MDF to build the keel and frame…………. So I have my first question??? I'll need to mill a slot for the keel bow and stern to sit in …….. So if anyone has built this kit perhaps you could tell me what width the keel is and how deep the slot should be ??? ……..

Welcome to the forum, Peter. I'm not familiar with your model so can't offer much more than a welcome!

I do know that a big bite is only a progression of small bites, and we can all manage those!
