newbie needing answers please

Hi everyone , I’m new here and would like to ask all you boat modellers if anyone has had dealings with the above mentioned model.

I was given this by a friend and unfortunatley he has misplaced the drwings and assembly data.

The build so far consists of the keel with all the formers in place and thats it, there is a box full of numbered pieces and to me its like a jigsaz puzzle.

Can anyone help please?.

I am sorry to say that I have never come across a model kit called Wave Princess nor are there any plans that I can locate on the interweb.

It would help if you could post some photos of the kit box and contents as this might jog someones memory.

Hi,

I was looking through some old copies of MB last night and came a cross an advert for Nor- Star boats and they had a kit called Wave Princess. It was 34ins long and cost £11.95 in October 1976. It was distibuted by Ripmax. The boat is a fast cabin cruiser. Of course this doesn’t help you with building the kit but it may help to identify it a bit more accurately. I believe Mr Wiggins mentioned Nor-Star boats in a recent article in Model Boats.

Hi Ray,

It occurs to me that my previous posting didn’t tell you anything you didn’t already know but I hadn’t see the photo then. Looking at the picture it seems that you’re halfway there and I reckon you could have a stab at finishing your Wave Princess without any drawings. It might not be completely original but it would still be a lovely boat. I was given a boat at a similar stage of completion when I was younger and to be honest it never occurred to me that I might need a drawing!  It just needs skinning and a cabin- look upon it as a scratch build.  Have fun.

Hi, regarding the model boat WAVE PRINCESS, I have the model 90% finished and the elusive plan for it . Not being a modeller now, I would like to sell it and the plan for a sensible price, also have a much larger cruiser, again part made but no plan with this one, anyone interested ?
