Hi, Ive been around RC cars for a while but have decided to hang up my gloves in favour of Boats…….I recently acquired a part built fairey huntsman 31……sadly its incomplete and lots of parts are missing. Is it worth trying to complete? Its the fiberglass hull version. Can anyone advise on the best motor and prop to install.Plastis or brass…….

Stuart. Hello and welcome to the forum.

Huntsman is a nice boat and well worth completing, however you need to show us some photos by creating an album and putting pictures of the boat in there so we can see what state the boat is in and advise accordingly..

Motor battery and prop combination is a forum subject of much debate, but there are a lot of these hulls out there and thus people who have built one and so someone should be able to advise on "something to start with", and it will depend on how fast you want to go of course. Not that you will know as this is your first boat!

          Pictures plse,

          Cheers, Ashley

            Hello Stuart

What length is your Huntsman (3ft or 4ft) and do you prefer electric or glow engines.

            Paul

The boat is about 3' in length…….Ive goto go down the lines of electric as the club im looking to join doesn't allow glow engine……..Speed wise is simply as how far you push the stick…..lol

Welcome to the forum.  Is it me or is there a yearning for the larger than life model. We have some real big ones being built at the moment. My boats are measured in inches not feet. Wow!!!!

                  Andy
