Insurance for P/Liability

Can anyone help me please, a friend is starting up a model PC boat club, does anyone know where we could get a reasonable Insurance for public liabilty as some of the quotes have been ridicuously high.

Hi Lee

If your based in UK try contacting MPBA  (Model Power Boat Assn.)  I think affiliated clubs can get insurance through them.

Thanks again Tom.   I have e-mailed the person concerned with this and will post up the cost of this type of insurance when I hear just in case someone else may be interested.

 Also I will let members on here know details of our new club when we are up and ready to go in case there are any Derby people on using this site.

Yes, we are hoping all goes well with the Boat club, we have been in existence for quite some time but the lake we used was full of reeds, so we have found a better lake.   We are hoping to attract younger people  to come along with their parents and are going to advertise shortly we we get the Insurance sorted.   Are you a member of a club Tom?   I will be in touch again if you do not mind, let you know how things are going, it is good to be in touch with like minded people.
