2009 sees Model Boats in its 44th year of publication although its origins date back to 1950 as part of Model Maker magazine.

Model Boats has brought benchmark levels of in depth writing and quality photography to the hobby and is the world's best selling model boating magazine. Each issue has extensive kit and model reviews, informative features, show reports, club news, new items for the modeller and regular expert columns from a number of highly regarded contributors.

Within alternate issues you'll find a high-quality free plan along with an accompanying build article. Model Boats covers all areas of this absorbing hobby. Model Boats is published monthly by MyHobbyStore Media and is available by direct subscription to the UK or overseas or from your local newsagent.

The magazine website: www.modelboats.co.uk was launched at the end of 2006 and provides an opportunity for readers and indeed all those who are interested in model boating to use the free forum to discuss the hobby. You will also find samples of previously published articles showing the wide variety of subjects covered in the magazine together with useful links. Following a recent makeover, the website is being improved to make it the No. 1 port of call for model boaters everywhere.
