A look at the Cover and Contents of the November 2010 issue of Model Boats on sale 1st October

This issue has for its main feature, Part One of a two section kit review of the

Panart Amerigo Vespucci. This is superbly presented by Terry Lawrence, who is

a master craftsman who also writes for woodworking magazines. Also there is a

Plastic Magic conversion of the Revell USS Kearsarge to radio control by the ever

more ingenuitive Dr. Marcus Rooks. Here he has taken the standard plastic static

kit, converted it to electric power, and very realistic it looks when being sailed.

We also have feature articles on Building a Modern Cruise Ship, the 2010

Naviga Section C event for static model ships of all types and an intriguing piece

entitled; A hard case, but a transparent one!’

The regulars include Range Finder, Mooring Post, Collectors’ Corner Minis,

the very last part of Period Pieces, BMPRS News and all your other favourites.

Please don’t forget that entries are now being accepted for the 2010 Model

Engineer Exhibition and the forms are printed in this magazine. This leading

exhibition is the major event in the UK where models are judged to an

internationally accepted standard by experienced model builders. This means

that an award here is very well deserved.

Other model and trade shows are not forgotten, including Harrogate and

Merstham from earlier in 2010.

All in all, a bumper issue with something for everyone within its pages.
