Paul has issued the first batch of drawings for Brutus

I alway's enjoy starting a new project that promises to be an interesting challenge, full of mystery and unknown snags!

First question for the Drawing Office.....

Are we building on the light side or general construction? A four foot hull is quite chunky

Since Paul has selected smallish motors, for some reason, I'm a little confused.com!

I was hoping to use the biggish motors, yet to be purchased for the SloMo job

There's no rush, Paul, after all, it is Christmas Eve!

As you say 4ft is chunky so the build needs to be light and there is enough room to use larger motors.

Just a thought....

Paul's pioneering work of sending drawings via the net in A4 format, has opened up more opportunities for the model boat plans service!

Building Ellie and Brutus will prove that the idea is feasible and could apply to future model boat plans

Which means.... You can have your drawing within a very short time from ordering......Within the hour may be possible

Plans for sending via these means need to be specially arranged for fragmentation etc

Just an idea?

I was sat here working on the Brutus drawings when I heard an almighty clang outside.

On a more serious note you are right about fragmentation as any drawings sent by email would have to be redrawn to suit the new format.

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.

In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.

The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their  expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!

I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
