hello Hugh

Sounds like you could have a reciever problem, is the reciever new? have you checked the connections and wiring and what are you using for motor speed control.

Thats the benefit of joining your local Model Boat Club my friend, I  only have to pick up the phone or go to the club waters to have all my problems solved!!. Having a club friend such as Bob Abell helps as well!. We have a member who works in a model shop a couple of days a week and he is a wealth of information, I've only been model boating for about 18 months and did'nt know anything and I would'nt have done as much as I have without help from club members (see my album of kits built and preowned boats refurbished).

Hi Hugh,

I trust your Tx& Rx crystals are a matching pair.

Good luck,

Len.

Hi Hugh,

Have a look at my 'LeCaux' album, I've just loaded up a sheet showing 4 different wiring diragrams (may take a short while before it goes 'live' though) have a nosey for the one that suits your layout and check yours against it

I can't take the credit for the drawing though, found it on the web ages ago and stuck it in my Odds-N-Sods folder.

Cheers - Ken

Make your own contribution to the Website

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.

In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.

The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their  expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!

I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
