You can buy a plastic 1:24 HIAB crane to go with imported Scania, Volvo and MAN model trucks by a Finnish company. I found a toyshop bu chance but have since lost the bookmark. I can check the company name tomorrow and will get back to you with it, and a link to the toyshop if I can find it.

Found it!

The trucks are made by EMEK and here is the link to the toyshop:

and here is the link to the HIAB:

I bought one from them for a custom fire engine with no problems.

Hope this meets your needs. Over the weekend I'll try and take a photo and post it.

Well the links don't seem to have worked, but you can copy and paste.

Barry, Greetings from the colonies. Harbor Models located in California sells an awesome 1:24 scale Hiab crane kit. It includes all the hydraulic lines and ect, and is extremely detailed! It took me three, eight hour days to assemble it. I have installed it on the American Enterprise, and it really draws the comments from the crowd at the pond. Feel free to e-mail me if you would like some pics of it.

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.

In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.

The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their  expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!

I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
