Very true Mick, by all means include a bit of information about the models along with the photos as it all makes it that more interesting.

Does the model have to be the entrants own building work or is from a photographic point of view?

Tony.

Hi Colin,

Am I assuming correctly that, as a photographic competition & not a model building competition, the photos can be of someone elses model?

Good points, Tony and Godfrey. I should have made it clear that the expectation is that the photos will be of your own work - otherwise it would make things too easy wouldn't it!

Obviously there is also an expectation that you will have taken the photos yourself but of course there is no way of verifying that!

I will amend the rules accordingly.

OK Guys, Easter's over and I'm sure you are all full of chocolate eggs.

So how about some entries in the current photo competition? It's clear from all those albums on the site that there are lots of potential entries out there. Last year's competition was a great success and produced some excellent photos for us all to enjoy so I'm hoping that we can repeat that.

I look forward to seeing them.

We have some very nice entries in this competition but rather less in numbers that I had hoped for compared with the last photo competition. Paul Freshney and I have therefore decided to extend the closing date to 4th June and if you have not already entered then please consider having a go.

It is obvious from the photos published on people's albums that there are some superb models out there so do consider sharing them in detail (literally!) by entering.

We look forward to seeing more of your work.

Hello Colin

Due to the slow responce........Why not allow more entries?

Thanks for the suggestion Bob but we'd really like to see more people participating. Three entries for each individual should be enough to show off one person's work.

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.

In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.

The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their  expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!

I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
