We have a prize draw running for H.P. Willmott's book "Battleship", a comprehensive study of the role of the capital ship in the first half of the 20th century. An important reference work for the bookshelf of anyone interested in these ultimate arbiters of sea power - before the aircraft carrier of course!
The competition is open to all and the runner up will receive any set of plans of their choice from the MyHobbyStore range.
Closing date 15th March 2010

I am pleased to announce that the winner of H.P. Willmott's book is Henry Stevenson of Rochester (aka Seaspray).
Runner up is Anthony Mamo from Malta who wins a set of myHobbyStore plans of his choice.
Congratulations to both and thanks to all of you who entered. Watch out for more competitions appearing shortly.

Just started to read this book. Not being a great reader of books, I am now on the 5th page and it is becoming an interesting read. It contains loads of information that I didn't realise was there. Thanks M.B.s

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.
In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.
The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!
I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
