Hi to all the skippers and Shipwright's out there in Model Boat land.

Worcester Model Boat Club would like to introduce itself, We are a band of very enthusiastic individuals and friends who have now formally started our very own model boat club, calling ourselves the "Worcester Model Boat Club". We are based outside Worcester in the West Midlands and cover the Worcestershire area.

Our sailing headquarters has superb facilities including ample parking, toilets and a superb cafe / restaurant which overlooks the outstanding sailing lake. We sail all types of yachts and electric power boats. Membership is open to anyone who shares our interests. We have already established a membership but as we say the more the merrier, we are all inclusive open to everyone, a group of genuine enthusiasts in it for the hobby not the glory.

Please check us out at www.worcestermodelboatclub.co.uk. or email James Anderson at worcestermodelboatclubuk@gmail.com

Is this club still active? I've searched online and found two possible sailing venues, and the website appears to be out of date? Thanks, anyone!

Ahoy there! I can happily confirm Worcester Model Boat Club is alive and kicking!

www.worcestermodelboatclub.co.uk

There you will find their website.

Not sure where you looked?, Worcester Model Boat Club only have one sailing venue, their home venue, and their website seems to be updated every week (if not more often).

On that i can report back what a fantastic bunch of guys and gals at WMBC. They made me extremely welcome, superb venue with outstanding facilities. Sailors of all age groups including a large number of younger members, which is fantastic to see. All very well organised with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Stunning boats, and lots of help and advise on tap.

Make your own contribution to the Website

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.

In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.

The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their  expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!

I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
