Thread: Huntsman 31

If you let me have your email address, I can scan my documentation and send to you as Jpgs.

Ther is not much info on the 'plan' just a couple of elevation views to show how it should look. The build  book I have contains 90% of the infromation on construction.  I assume your hull/kit was bought second hand as unstarted or not completed?

I built mine about 12years ago and still have it as a boat for the grandchildren to play with !

Thread: Gas Cartridge suppliers

If you need gas fittings, try Jerry Watson of Clevedon Steam.

He used to work for Cheddar Steam until it folded. He has taken on most of the 'useful items' range. I suspect that will include the pipework and the gas jets as well as fittings for filling tanks and connecting to disposable cyinders.

If there is something he cant supply directly, he will almost certainly point you in the right direction....

His email is  or phone him on 01275 871381

I use disposable gas cans from my local hadware shop, these are propane/butane mix. I have fittings for direct connection and fillers for small tanks place inside models. All my boats use a No.8 gas jet and have ceramic burners for the boilers.

 Hope this helps you,

Make your own contribution to the Website

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.

In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.

The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their  expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!

I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
