Thread: Soft Foam Pipe Lagging Galleon Racing!
05/10/2012 17:54:17

Mentioned elsewhere about soft foam boats, I have created interest in our Club by getting the members to make one of these to race accross our Lake.

If I cannot get a link up then you can see them in My Photos.

PS, I still get Adverts on the right hand side of the page covering up sections of the posts, I do NOT get this sort of thing on ANY other forum I look at.

Thread: build boat kit
29/09/2012 19:14:16

Hi Geoff,

Take a look here, this chap builds Life Boats and does not keep them.

28/09/2012 14:20:30

Hi Geoff,

I am not offering but, are you aware of how long it would take to build it, several Months of dedicated work, and that would add up to a sizeable labour charge.

Had you a price in mind?.

Just got in from the shed and have come up with this.

Very similar to your idea but not as strong in the gripping department.

What are you guys making? It looks like my Grans Pickle fork!.

Thread: lack of a standard of food

As a canny lad from down south, you would not catch me buying food or drink at these days out. I take my own food and drink and spend my money on modeling items smiley.

Thread: Annoying Adverts on the right of the page

Posted by Colin Bishop, Website Editor on 24/08/2012 17:51:39:

That is usually caused by either posting too long a link or by posting pictures together with no spaces between them. Which topic is causing you problems?

New Build is one.

24/08/2012 17:24:14

Can someone tell me how to get rid of the Adverts on the right of the page, they cover up what people have written on the first few posts of a topic.

HR 2 Post Code? the post office does not know that one. I was only asking so that any one in your area may be able to help. Country, County, and Town would help.smiley

Hi Sally,

You could use the party to raise funds for the RNLI. face 1

Where are you based?.

Make your own contribution to the Website

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.

In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.

The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their  expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!

I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
