Work in progress picture to keep us up to date
Painting continues during the build to promote ideas.....
Had another novel idea........Need more channels to operate the military features.....Missiles mainly
How can I do that, I hear you say?
Obvious really......Use a second Tx!
Thinking about spring loaded vertical missile silo`s, full of Bird Seed and some Talcum Powder etc and fired by my Gunner chappie
That should please the casual bystanders?...eh?

Richard.........Why did it sink? An did it see any action in WW2?
I seem to have a morbid fascination with Landing Craft and the Dukws etc
The tales about them stopping short on the beaches of Normandy etc and the troops simply drowned
We went on a Battlefield Tour of Normandy, a few years ago.......Awesome
How about fitting a Flail and use it as a weed chopper?.........That would be interesting, eh?
Full of good ideas

There is always the wheels option. Paul
I`ll have a trial run shortly at Etherow, just to try it out with a similar weight in the sledge
Thank you for your kind concern, my mate
There`s alway`s a good crowd of helpers on the landing stage
What set off to be a "Get it downstairs sledge" and also a " Get it from the car to the pond sledge " but it also ended up as an " Assembly turntable" for easy access on the work bench, up them dreaded stairs.
The model is getting very heavy now and also very awkward to handle
All quiet on the North Western front
Just a peep through the doorway
Many thanks, Doc for your timely good advice
You wouldn't think that I was in charge of H and S and Cosch regulations, in the 80's
Sorry about that, old chap
Windows 10 updated my PC a few days ago, without my permission and left it in a fine mess
Slowly my stuff gradually returned, it alsp affected my IPad somehow
Can`t understand it
Any more of my messages repeated?
I`ve put the aerosol cans in a bucket with 12mm water....OK?
Hi Paul, I've just read your post, I 'be got quite a few
Where is it safe to store them?
You are quite correct there, Paul, about my workshop
It was like Dantes Inferno.........But even hotter
It was so hot last night, I actually slept on the bedroom floor
With a few cans of ice cold Lager to cling to.........And I don`t mean to drink either!
For tonight, I`ve got a hot water bottle in the fridge to keep me company
They do help, you try it
Thank you, Tim
I think a garden shed is not good in Wintertime though?
I've lost a few models due to the damp
No progress with the build for the last few days
Due to the heat

I reckon, that Plastic Kits produce models of perfection, but are frowned upon for some reason
It`s a funny old world

Not a problem really, I will modify the stand to make it into a smooth bottom sledge and slide it downstairs on a rope and vice versa for getting it upstairs
As I did with the Myford Lathe
Just out of interest.....How do other Boaters get their models down stairs?
Thank you, Doc
Very unimpressed with you shooting, old boy
I could have done better with my BSA Airsporter in the 60`s
0.22" of course with the Abell multi shot magazine
You couldn`t hit a rowing boat in a month of Sundays
Only pulling your leg old chap.......As you would be aware of?
Getting a bit concerned about the weight of the model now, Capt and getting it downstairs, and then getting it upstairs
Not to worry, we`ll sort it somehow
Many thanks for our suggestions, Ashley will them more thought later on
It makes me wonder why some country`s have gone for hundreds of little armed four man vessels ?
If they all carried small guides missiles.....Mmmmmmm>
Thank You Paul
Food for thought indeed?
I've been thinking a lot about Warships of the Future lately and there is no obvious answer
The problem is confused with so many possibilities
Why even think about a super ship?
Why not stay at home and send Drones to any part of the world and let them do the dirty work?....etc

Now then, Paul, tell us please..........
What`s the story, and how have you acquired it ?
Is it radio controlled or a free sailer?

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.
In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.
The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!
I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
