Please to say that I am back to my normal bubbly self now.......Thanks
The motor problem is just a storm in a Tea Cup and will soon get sorted out in the Spring
Thanks to all
Thanks Paul. Just about feeling better
That`s taught me a lesson all right
I`m almost frightened of quick cooking frozen meals now
Thank you Paul
The different speeds are part of the ESC characteristics; 50 amps going forward and 20 amps in reverse
Joyce is back to her old self now, thank you very much for enquiring
I`m in trouble at the moment......I`ve contacted Food Poisoning at the moment
Had a frozen meal that wasn`t quite thawed out!
Having a torrid time,,,,,,,,,, for `n` aft!
Getting over it now, hopefully
Good question, Ash
Right and left vertical sticks control the motors
RH stick controls the Rudder, left and right
What did Paul mean when he mentioned the settings on the tranny?
Hi Paul, I am using two sticks to control the motors
What settings are you referring to?
This new to me
Don't have a Y lead, Imprefer twin stick steering anyway
The Esc's are not mixed........Don't fancy that either
I have noticed that the prop shaft are quite tight for some reason
Think this requires investigation right away
Many thanks John for your contribution
The chappie at Howes suggest that option, but don`t really fancy having Tank Steering where the controls are reversed
I feel sure there is a simple solution?
Hello Ashley, it is a Perkins Marine ESC-50
If you reversed the red and blue leads to the motor. would the motor run the other way?
I can do all that in the bath
Will keep you informed
Here are the photo`s that Paul requested
Dive in Mates
OK Paul....10 - 4
How do you like my snazzy charger set up?
Just been in contact with Howes and nobody has asked this question before.
The motors are Two x MFA 850`s and the props are 50 mm dia x very fine helix angle
The batteries are 4000mAh, 7,2 volts NiMH
Over to you, Mr Starter
PS Please send a photo of your Dance Band if available please
The instructions also say that for 5 seconds Max, the ESC gives out 70 amps!
I assume this feature is automatic on start up?
Having reversed the red and blue wires on each motor, they still run faster in reverse?
Any comments, chaps please?
Come in Paul Thomason
The instructions for the ECP say that going Forward, it has 50 amps and going in reverse, it has 20 amps
How can I tell which is forward and reverse?
At last, Brutus 2 has got her feet wet
Had a quick visit to the lake
No other club members present, probably due to the Corvid restrictions?
I noticed that one prop was more powerful going backwards than forwards!
Looking at the ESC instructions, it says that with the motor going forward, 50 amps are available
Going backwards, only 20 amps are available
Also, there are no setting up buttons to fiddle with!
The ESC`s are Brushed Marine ESC-50 with reverse
I assume that the hand of the props need to be looked into, to match the going forward and reverse feature?
Lady Joyce took the photographs, as there was nobody else around
A few photos of the non event
Not a problem, never thought of Amazon
Thanks my mate
I think Ray has just put the mockers on it!
Bravo!.....I agree with the Speaker
I don't really know what the new proposed restrictions entail, to be honest
I will tootle on down to the jolly ole Pond on Thursday and take Pot Luck
Have a quick dip, take a few snap shots and beat a hasty retreat....eh?
Hope you all got that, me Hearties?
Capt Bob of Brutus 2050
Thank you Ashley
That`s very kind of you
It`s a pity, this Corona Virus thing has really upset the natural routine at the pond life though
Is it the same for your watering hole?
Duckie won't go to Etherow these days.....because.....
It seems there is a crackpot woman who goes out of her way to scratch his car!
I will go on a Tuesday or a Thursday when the Yotters will be there
Paul....Any chance you making me two numbers please.........2050.......about 30 mm high in white
Style....Your choice....For the year.....2050
Thanks a lot.....Bob

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.
In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.
The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!
I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
